McCoy Construction & Forestry Earns Dealer of the Year Award for second straight year

MCF’s Bergtholdt named a John Deere Technician of the Year 

John Deere has recognized a long-time McCoy Construction & Forestry teammate as being among the best of the best in his field. 

Ryan Bergtholdt, a field technician for McCoy Construction & Forestry’s Foristell, Mo. branch, has been selected by John Deere as one of the organization’s technicians of the year. Bergtholdt was one of three technicians selected out of a pool of 3,800 across John Deere’s trio of U.S. construction and forestry regions. 

Technicians of the year were selected on criteria that includes having a strong background in how they serve their dealerships, their customers and their communities. Winning technicians need to be positive role models in the workplace and must provide feedback themselves on why they are passionate about their position, as well as receive a recommendation from a customer. 

“This is a well-deserved and outstanding achievement for Ryan,” said Roy James, vice president of operations for McCoy Construction & Forestry. “Our team is made up of some of the best people and experts in the industry, and it is nice to have the recognition to show for it.” 

In addition to his 20 years of service to McCoy Construction & Forestry and its precursor Erb Equipment, Bergtholdt is an active member and volunteer for his church, a certified EMT, and he has been a volunteer firefighter for the Lincoln County volunteer fire department for the past 17 years. 

Bergtholdt will be recognized by John Deere next month when a video salute debuts at an industry expo in Houston. He also will be honored during an event in January when he visits John Deere Global Headquarters.
